Frequently asked questions

Booking, prices, your driver, luggage, flight tracking and cancellations — the answers travelers ask us most about Los Cabos Airport transfers. Still unsure? Call us any time.

Booking & prices

How much is a transfer from Los Cabos Airport?
A private transfer runs from $80 USD for San José del Cabo up to $354 USD for La Paz — a flat rate for the whole vehicle, not per passenger, with no meter and no surge pricing. The total you see at booking is the total you pay.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. One flat rate covers your whole group up to the vehicle capacity, with airport fees and federal taxes already included — so the more of you travel together, the less each person pays.
How do I pay?
By card, online, when you book. You get your confirmation and your driver assignment immediately, and there is nothing to settle at the airport or with the driver.
How far in advance do I have to book?
Arrivals need at least 24 hours and departures at least 48. Los Cabos is not a last-minute market — there is no spare fleet sitting at the airport, so a booking inside those windows has no vehicle and no driver behind it. Book before you fly.
Should I book round trip or just the arrival?
Booking both legs at once is the safer choice here: your return is locked in at the same rate, and departures need 48 hours of notice — so leaving it for later can mean there is nothing available when you want it.

The SJD terminals & meeting your driver

Which terminal will I arrive at?
Los Cabos International (SJD) has two passenger terminals in separate buildings. Terminal 2 handles international flights — the US and Canadian airlines land there. Terminal 1 handles domestic flights and some international ones. Your boarding pass says which, and we track your flight either way.
Does the driver know which terminal to go to?
Yes — your flight number tells us. The two terminals are separate buildings, so this matters more here than at most airports: your driver is sent to the one your flight actually lands at, not to a general meeting point.
How long will the driver wait if immigration takes forever?
As long as it takes. We monitor your flight in real time, so the wait starts from your actual landing, not from the time you booked. There is no extra charge for a delay that is not your fault.
What if I cannot find my driver?
Call the number on your confirmation — it is answered 24/7, in English and Spanish, including while you are standing in the terminal. Do not accept a ride from anyone who approaches you inside: your driver waits outside the exit with a sign with your name.

Vehicles, luggage & kids

Which vehicle do I need?
The private van takes up to 7 passengers with 7 suitcases. The Suburban and the Escalade seat 5 with 5 suitcases and a more comfortable cabin. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter takes 15 passengers and 14 suitcases. Pick by whichever number is higher — people or bags.
Do children count as passengers?
Yes. Adults and children together are what has to fit in the vehicle, and every child occupies a seat. Two adults and five children are seven passengers, not two — count everyone when you book or the vehicle that shows up will be too small.
Do you have child seats?
Yes, child and booster seats at no charge. Tell us the ages when you book so the right one is already installed when the vehicle gets to the terminal.
What if we have more luggage than passengers?
Book by the luggage, not the headcount. Golf bags, surfboards and dive gear eat the space of two or three suitcases each, so four passengers with four golf sets need the vehicle a group of seven would take. Tell us what you are bringing and we size it properly.

Distances & timing

How long is the drive to Cabo San Lucas?
About 50 minutes for the 50 km down the Corridor. San José del Cabo is the closest at roughly 20 minutes, the Corridor hotels sit in between at about 30, and Diamante and the Pacific side run around 55.
Do you go to Todos Santos, La Paz or Los Barriles?
Yes, all three. Los Barriles is about an hour, Costa Palmas around 1 h 10 m, Todos Santos roughly 1 h 20 m and La Paz about 2 h 15 m. They are long drives on open highway, which is exactly why a private vehicle beats connecting rides.
What time will you pick me up for my flight home?
We work back from your flight time, allowing for the drive from where you are staying plus the time you need at the terminal. Your pickup time comes on your confirmation — you do not have to calculate it.
Do you run at night and very early?
Yes, 24 hours. Los Cabos has a lot of early departures and late arrivals, and the rate is the same at 3 a.m. as at midday — there is no night surcharge.

Changes & cancellations

Can I cancel my transfer?
Premium rate: cancel free up to 24 hours before your transfer and we refund the full amount. Economical rate: no refund. The full amount stays as open credit, with no expiry date, for whenever you come back. Includes one change of date or time, 48 hours in advance.
My flight changed. Can I move my transfer?
Yes, schedule changes are free. Send us the new flight number as soon as you have it and we move the pickup — the reservation stays yours at the same rate.
Can I change where I am being dropped off?
Tell us before the day of travel. A different hotel in the same zone usually costs nothing; one further out changes the rate, and we tell you the difference before anything is charged.
Where do I find my reservation?
Your confirmation email has it, and you can look it up on the site at any time with your reservation code. If you would rather talk to someone, the phone is answered 24/7.
